Our Mission

Picture
To promote healthy local food and sustainable living through education and community gardening in Round Rock and surrounding areas.

Our vision

We envision a vibrant local food system where Round Rock residents of all ages experience the benefits of community, school and neighborhood gardening, become healthier through improved diets, exercise and positive social interactions, and learn about, experience and practice sustainable living

How we accomplish our mission

· Through our two websites, we share information and resources to foster a supportive climate for sustainable living and community, school  and neighborhood gardening.

·
Through education and outreach programs, we help the people of our city build self-reliance and interdependence through community gardening and sustainable living.

·
Through support of anti-hunger initiatives, we encourage gardeners to give back by sharing their garden produce, skills, knowledge and dedication with others.

·
Through partnerships with other nonprofit organizations and faith-based groups, we build a multi-cultural, multi-generational community.

·
By serving as a model in practical sustainability, we encourage others to care for the Earth, care for each other and share their surplus.
